Tomorrow I am going to be talking about staying active and how to keep your low back in shape during these sedentary times! Here is a little help if you haven’t downloaded it yet. Much more to come tomorrow.

5 Moves to A Healthy Back

8 Things You Need To Start Doing RIGHT NOW To Protect Yourself From COVID-19

1. Eat clean, healthy foods at least 90% of the time. Normally I say 80% of the time for fitness results, but now it needs to be 90% of the time. We need to be more diligent about providing our bodies with the minerals that boost the immune system. Control your intake of simple carbs and foods that spike your blood sugar levels. This is a MUST.

2. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration – even when you’re not thirsty. Dehydration is a primary reason folks end up in the hospital from viruses.

3. Add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt to your meals or water 3x daily to help your body absorb minerals that are necessary to protect your immune system.

4. Definitely take no anti-fever medications. You need the fever to kill the virus. If you have a fever, take a hot shower, hot bath, hot tub or steam sauna. Increase your internal temperature to kill the virus.

5. EXERCISE! This should be a no-brainer, but obviously not enough people are listening. If you don’t know what to do, go here for free at-home workouts.

6. High doses of Vitamin C. My rule of thumb is simple for protecting the immune system at times like these… 2,000-3,000 mg daily, while leaning towards the higher limit. Simple & effective.

7. Vitamin D. As both a hormone and vitamin, Vitamin D plays a number of important roles in our health. Minimum of 2,000 I.U. daily.

8. Zinc is a mineral involved in the white blood cell response to infection. Because of this, people who are deficient in zinc are more susceptible to cold, flu, and other viruses. If you do decide to take zinc supplementation, make sure you stay below the upper limit of 40 mg per day.

Now… I am NOT a doctor, and don’t proclaim to be. But I do understand the steps we need to take to protect and/or IMPROVE our immune systems.

Remember… the medical system is NOT health care. It’s sick care, and is reactive. Taking proactive steps to protect immune system is health care.

Building from the ground up.
